THE FOUNDATIONS
1. Openness and Transparency
We’re committed to making the construction process as open and communicative as possible. Weekly progress reports and constant access to a full-time project supervisor mean you’re always in the loop about how your home is taking shape.
2. Financial Clarity
We only utilize a fully transparent schedule of values. That means you can track where and when your investment is being spent. We don’t just say we’re honest - we let you see for yourself.
3. We Only Work With the Best
The complex projects we undertake often involve input from several different consultants and experts. We believe each project is only as strong as its weakest member, which is why we only work with partners who have proven their excellence over many years.
4. A Creative Edge
We’re not just builders. Our leadership team has a strong background in design and architecture, and we bring a creative approach to every project. Sure, we’ll do all the heavy lifting you need, but we’ll also help you conceptualize and design your project to its fullest potential.

YOUR DEDICATED TEAM
Pancho Dewhurst
Pancho grew up accompanying his father and grandfather to building sites across northern San Diego, and by high school he was already helping out and digging trenches. In 2001, after graduating from University, Pancho came on board to learn the business side of GDC, and in 2008, he was passed the reins for the family business by his father, George Dewhurst.
Pancho received a bachelor’s degree in fine arts from the University of San Diego and also studied abroad at Gonzaga University in Florence, Italy, where he built a life-long love of fine architecture. A craftsman at heart, and with a passion for design, Pancho continues to involve himself deeply in the design and construction phases of individual GDC projects. He loves helping clients build their dream team of architects and engineers, and thrives on solving tricky construction problems. A family man and keen traveler, Pancho lives in San Diego with his wife, Brandy, a designer, and his two children, Austin and Ava. In a previous life, Pancho was a member of the prestigious Burton professional snowboarding team and traveled the world snowboarding.
