Client Need
The existing home sat on a challenging lot, sandwiched between Dolphin Place and Abalone Place in Bird Rock, La Jolla. The lot is significantly higher on the inland side than on the ocean side, and the client wanted to maximize the limited space and take advantage of the views across the coastline.
Our Solution
Working with a top local architect, we designed a home that incorporated a subterranean garage. To accomplish this, we had to stabilize the neighboring residence and begin with extremely robust foundations to support the three-story structure. Designed around a central William Ohs custom kitchen, the new home maximizes every inch of the lot and includes a rooftop terrace with fantastic ocean views.
