Our Solution

The local La Jolla community is intertwined with GDC Construction. We’ve been here for almost a century, and in that time there aren’t many community events we haven’t become involved with in some way. Indeed, our leadership has led the way on several important community issues, from re-igniting the La Jolla Christmas Parade, to constructing the granite memorials that surround the Soledad Cross. Every year, GDC Construction continues to make its mark on the community we are proud to call home.

We lent our expertise and donated our time to completely remodel and refurbish La Jolla’s dilapidated Station 13 firehouse.
Former GDC Construction president George Dewhurst pioneered the idea of building the granite memorials that surround the iconic Soledad Cross at the heart of La Jolla.
As part of our effort to give back to the community, we worked on an extensive remodel of the La Jolla Community Center.
We brought the same attention to detail to this project as to any of the high-end homes we work on.
